AMERICAN THEOREM had been training fabulously prior to his first start at Del Mar on 8/31/19 and lived up to those expectations with an impressive score over a much hyped field. Looking every bit like a future Kentucky Derby prospect after his 2nd in the G1 American Pharoah Stakes at Santa Anita in October of 2019. The heartache of a shin injury dashed Breeders’ Cup plans as well as Kentucky Derby start in 2020 and pretty much the entire year. 2021 wasn’t much different, but finally he patience of his connections, owner Kretz Racing LLC and his trainer George Papaprodromou was rewarded in 2022 with a a bang up allowance win on Jan 2 to start the year, followed by wins in the Triple Bend G2 and the Bing Crosby G1.
